Community guidelines

FrenchieSwapworks because it isn't a marketplace; it's neighbors trading care for the dogs they love. These are the rules we actually hold each other to. There are only eight.

Effective July 21, 2026. This page is under California attorney review before public launch.

Meet before you swap.

Every first stay starts with a meet-and-greet: dogs and people, in person. It's built into the booking flow and it's never optional.

Care for their Frenchie like your own.

Keep the routine, the food, the meds, the walks. The Frenchie Card you're handed at confirmation is the how-to; follow it.

Be honest about health.

Breathing, back, allergies, heat sensitivity, medications, the weird thing they do at 3am: say it up front, including whether there's a heat plan to follow. A sitter can only care well for what they know about.

No money changes hands. Ever.

Swaps run on banked nights, not dollars. Nobody pays anybody on FrenchieSwap, and nobody ever will.

Chat like a neighbor, not a stranger.

Requests deserve an answer within a day, even when it's no. Keep chat respectful — you can unsend a message you regret, but the point is to not need to.

Homes, not kennels.

Your dog stays in a real home with someone who chose French Bulldogs. Host the way you'd want your own dog hosted.

If something goes wrong, say so early.

A worry, an incident, a bad feeling: tell our team right away from the stay page or at hello@frenchieswap.com. Reports go straight to us, never to the other member. If a dog is hurt, your vet comes first; then tell us the same day.

Our team welcomes every member personally.

That's not bureaucracy; it's the product. We keep the circle real, and we'll remove anyone who makes it unsafe, after a conversation when a conversation is enough.

You don't need a Frenchie at home to belong here. Frenchie Sitters — members who don't currently have a Frenchie of their own — host visiting dogs and are welcomed the same way every member is: personally, by our team.

That's the whole rulebook. Questions, edge cases, or something we got wrong: hello@frenchieswap.com reaches our team.
